Four

Whoops. I didn’t realize I already missed three weekends worth of posts! So I have more than enough pictures to share. But I haven’t had much spare time the past few weeks, so this is going to be short and sweet with tons of pictures that will hopefully speak for themselves :)!

The first project we worked on was getting the staircase in! This staircase was original to the Cabin, so we worked hard to make it work with the new loft. Once we got it fit in place we started on the handrail

The handrail made the staircase feel so much easier to climb and the loft feel like a more usable space. We made a little bump out on the landing so the roof doesn’t come so close to your head on the top step and by happy accident it made the loft feel much larger and more finished as well!

The next project was to get the attic sealed in and insulated. We had to make some bird blocks for where the roof meets the log walls, and then we had to clean the whole attic and put insulation in. We had to fill those pesky holes in the ceiling and install our ceiling fan in order to get all the insulation down as well!

Our next projects are going to include putting the attic ladder in and then getting the walls insulated and dry walled! We’re getting close to our deadline and still have quite a few projects, plus we’re both busy again. Hoping we can make it!!
