I don’t have a ton of new information regarding the chickens. The other morning I woke up in an absolute panic that I forgot to shut their coop, I rushed out to check on them only to realize that my in-laws are incredible people. We got home semi late and I went straight into the RV, ready for bed, and entirely forgot to check on the chickens. I’m so grateful we’ve got multiple groups to keep this place running smooth as silk.
We’ve had pretty awesome weather this Spring, loads of rain and loads of sun! The chicks are loving being outdoors and are really starting to enjoy the dinner scraps as well! I’ve seen a few of the chicks find whole worms in the ground, and it’s pretty exciting watching them find something good and run around trying to eat it all before one of their sister hens comes and steals it! Harriett is a wild little lady who will sneak over all nonchalant and then quick as a whip steal your meal. I can’t wait to get the garden finished tilling so we can get the fence in and get the chicks a full run that’s standing height for us. One day this week I just went in with a little stool so I could hang out with them for a bit. Soon they’ll be full grown and laying. Time flies by too quickly these days!
